St. Fursey’s Bell Tower

Following on from the refurbishment of St. Furseys Church Sheehan and Barry were asked to design a new bell tower adjacent to the church.

Part of the design brief was to refurbish an old bell that was donated to the church and had been in storage for some time.

The base and the capping of the tower are clad with a locally sourced Ros Limestone which was dressed and fitted by James Gogarty Stone. The brick is a Vesto Vandersanden and all site works were coordinated and executed MJ Duffy & Sons – inclusive of concrete base; steel frame; new masonry; the bell refurbishment & new fixings for it as well as electrical works for lighting the tower.
